Nicole Fox | Director of Government Relations
Nicole Fox was born and raised in Iowa and graduated from Iowa State University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Sciences in Food and Nutrition – Dietetics.
She served as both the President and Public Policy Coordinator for the Nebraska Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics state affiliate, served nationally both on the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Legislative and Public Policy Committee and as a Policy and Advocacy Liaison for the Oncology Nutrition Dietetic Practice Group. Through these public policy experiences, Nicole became interested in public service and sought the governor’s appointment in the summer of 2015 to represent Legislative District 7 in the Nebraska Legislature, which encompasses Downtown Omaha and South Omaha.
Since joining the Platte Institute in 2017, she has completed a Graduate Certificate Program in Public Policy from Liberty University.
Nicole lives in Downtown Omaha and loves to support its many locally-owned businesses. She serves on the board of Victory Boxing Club and Rejuvenating Women, and has run and completed four of the World Marathon Majors in Berlin, Chicago, London, and New York City. Nicole is also an avid Iowa State Cyclone fan and has two cats, Jules and Onyx.
