Jay Rempe | Senior Economist, Nebraska Farm Bureau
Jay Rempe is the Senior Economist for Nebraska Farm Bureau. As the Senior Economist, Jay is responsible for agricultural economic outlook, policy analysis, research, and education programs. Prior to being the Senior Economist, he served at the Vice President of Governmental Relations for Farm Bureau. Jay has a long career working on agricultural issues at the state and federal level with expertise on tax, school finance, trade, regulatory, and water issues facing farmers and ranchers.
Jay earned a Master of Science in agricultural economics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He also received a Bachelor of Science in agriculture from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, majoring in Agribusiness. Prior to earning his master’s degree, Jay worked in Omaha as a commodity merchandiser.
Jay and his wife, Jan, have three children, Davis and wife Allie, and twins Jackson and Maggie.
