Ryan Kopsa | Communications and Marketing Director

Ryan is Communications and Marketing Director for the Platte Institute.

Originally from York Nebraska, Ryan is passionate about limited government and advancing opportunities for all Nebraskans. While attending the University of Nebraska, and following his graduation with a degree in Public Relations and Political Science, Ryan worked full time for then Governor Pete Ricketts as a part of his communications team.  

In 2022, after over 5 years in the Governor’s Office, Ryan became Campaign Manager for the Mike Flood for Congress Campaign. After successfully winning two elections, including a special election, Ryan moved to Washington D.C.  and helped lead in the transition and office set up for Congressman Flood’s Office.  

Ryan is excited to take his experience and use it to help the Platte Institute share the story of advancing policies that remove barriers to opportunity and secure individual liberty for all Nebraskans. 

Ryan now lives in Lincoln with his wife Rylin and their daughter Bella.
