Pat Keenan | Board Chair
J. Patrick Keenan was born, raised, and resides in North Platte, Nebraska. He graduated from the University of Nebraska in 1979 with a B.S. in Business Administration, entering the family business and working in all facets of the soft drink industry. Mr. Keenan became the CFO of Great Plains Bottlers and Canners Inc in 1985.
In 1993 Mr. Keenan and his two brother partnered to enter the hospitality industry, building a Hampton Inn in North Platte. In 1998 the brothers sold Great Plains Bottlers and Canners Inc to Coca-Cola Enterprises of Atlanta, GA.
Mr. Keenan currently is the Managing Member of Keenan Management LLC which owns and operates hotel properties and develops other commercial properties.
He is a past President of the Nebraska Soft Drink Association and a former Director of Southwest Canners Inc., a soft drink bottling and canning cooperative in Portales, New Mexico.
Mr. Keenan is a past Chairman of the Board of Great Plains Regional Medical Center, a director of the North Platte Surgery Center, and was appointed by the mayor to the Quality Growth Fund Committee. His community involvement also includes the past chairmanship of the area Salvation Army Board of Advisors, the North Platte Catholic School Board, and the North Platte Development Corporation (DEVCO).
He is married to Kathleen (Maughan) Keenan and has three children, Molly Keenan Otte of Grand Rapids, MI., Emily Keenan, a student at Providence College Providence, RI and Sean Keenan, a student at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI.
