Owen Palm


Owen Palm is the President and CEO of 21st Century Holdings in Gering. Mr. Palm graduated with a degree in Geological Engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology. After graduation, he served at the rank of Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Mr. Palm is a past Commissioner of the Nebraska Department of Natural Resources, a former chairman of the board of the Nebraska chapter of The Nature Conservancy, and has previously served as President of the Twin Cities Economic Development Corporation, and a trustee of the Chadron State College Foundation and the Scotts Bluff Area Family YMCA.

In 2005, Mr. Palm was declared “Citizen of the Year” by the Scottsbluff Star-Herald for his contributions to western Nebraska’s economy.

He has been married to his wife Karen for 35 years. They have two sons, Bryan and Corey, who are also in the ag industry.
