Delette Marengo

Delette Marengo is the Vice President of Government and Public Affairs for Tenaska and oversees local, state and federal government affairs and public relations strategy for the company and its affiliates throughout the U.S. and Canada. 

Before joining Tenaska, Ms. Marengo worked as the U.S. Director of Public Affairs for Trina Solar, Director of Public Affairs for Edison International and Director of Law and Government Affairs for AT&T. She has more than 25 years of legislative experience, including serving as the Special Advisor and Chief Deputy Appointments Secretary to California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, Chief of Staff and the Senior Advisor to the Assembly Republican Leader of the California Legislature and as the Director of Member Services and Minority Consultants at the California State Legislature. 

Outside of Tenaska, Ms. Marengo serves on the Boards of the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce and Texas Competitive Power Advocates (TCPA). She is active with numerous industry trade organizations including the Electric Power Supply Association (EPSA), Business Council for Sustainable Energy (BCSE), California Energy Storage Association (CESA) and Natural Gas Supply Association (NGSA), among others. 

Ms. Marengo is a lifetime member of the American Council of Young Political Leaders (ACYPL) and serves on the University of Nebraska’s Supply Chain Management Advisory Board and supports the Offutt Advisory Council which helps promote the morale, welfare and education of military personnel and their families at the Offutt Air Force Base. 

Ms. Marengo has Bachelor of Arts in Government from California State University-Sacramento and an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) from the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
