Omaha Town Hall, New Reports, and Lincoln Legislative Summit

OMAHA, NE – Here is a schedule of property tax-related releases and events the Platte Institute will host in September and October.

Wednesday, September 4: Release and News Conference Call for Get Real About Property Taxes, 2nd Edition, available at
Summary: Sarah Curry and Adam Weinberg review polling from Nebraskans and identify policy options that can lead to permanent property tax reform.

Tuesday, September 24: Omaha Property Tax Reform Town Hall featuring Nebraska state Sens. Mike McDonnell, Lou Ann Linehan, Sue Crawford, Brett Lindstrom, and John McCollister.

Tuesday, October 1: Release of Nebraska’s Sales Tax at
Summary: To reform property taxes without increasing state tax rates or cutting core government services, state senators will need to revisit Nebraska’s sales tax policies.

Friday, October 4: Imagine the Possibilities: The 2019 Platte Institute Legislative Summit.
