That’s why the Platte Institute is championing a state-level Regulations from the Executive in Need of Scrutiny (REINS) Act. 

How Would the REINS Act Work? 

Under the REINS Act: 

• The most expensive regulations would require approval from the Nebraska Legislature before taking effect. 

• Outdated and unnecessary regulations could be systematically reviewed and removed. 

• Caps on total regulations could be introduced, ensuring our system remains balanced and accountable. 

Why Does This Matter? 

A streamlined, transparent regulatory process doesn’t just benefit businesses—it benefits everyone. Fewer unnecessary regulations mean:
