aweinberg@platteinstitute.orgStatement: Jim Vokal on the Health Care Licensing Emergency Executive Order
This is a statement by Platte Institute Chief Executive Officer Jim Vokal on Nebraska Executive Order 20-10, which waives certain licensing restrictions for medical personnel during the state of emergency for COVID-19:
“In the current state of emergency, policymakers are witnessing a life and death example of how Universal Recognition of professional licensing from other states can improve essential services and provide opportunities for more professionals to enter Nebraska's workforce. The Platte Institute commends the Ricketts administration for this timely executive action and we would like to encourage the Legislature to review the successful regulatory reforms that serve Nebraskans in this crisis and work to make them permanent policies once the state of emergency is lifted,” said Vokal.
A previous letter from the Platte Institute in support of the policy behind Executive Order 20-10 is attached.
