Former Telecommunications Committee chair Jim Smith outlines new report

The Platte Institute will host a virtual news conference on Zoom on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. Central Time, 9:30 a.m. Mountain. Registration is required at this link.

The news conference, featuring Platte Institute Chief Strategy Officer Jim Smith, will discuss the release of the new Platte Institute report A Blueprint for Better Broadband in Nebraska, which outlines recommendations for implementing broadband grant programs in Nebraska.

Smith previously served as President of the Blueprint Nebraska economic initiative and as chair of the Nebraska Legislature’s Transportation & Telecommunications Committee.

The news conference may be recorded for broadcast and will include Q&A. A copy of the new report will posted later at PlatteInstitute.org/Policy, and video and audio recordings of the briefing will be made available, along with the report, in forthcoming releases.
