Virtual Legislative Summit
Senators, governors & policy experts discuss Nebraska’s “Next Normal”
LINCOLN, NE – Today, the Platte Institute will host its annual Legislative Summit virtually on Zoom. The program invites policy leaders to discuss issues in the coming legislative session. An event flyer is available here.
The Virtual Legislative Summit will include three panels with state policy leaders on economic and tax policy issues facing the state as Nebraska attempts to rise from the COVID-19 pandemic. Free registration for each program is online at PlatteInstitute.org/Events. Recordings will be available at PlatteInstitute.org/Podcasts and in later news releases.

The Platte Institute will also present two awards at the Virtual Legislative Summit. The 2020 Connie Brown Freedom Award will be presented at the beginning of the Regulatory Reform Roundtable at 9:00 a.m. The Connie Brown Freedom Award recognizes Nebraskans who are working to remove barriers to opportunity in the state. The Platte Institute’s inaugural presentation of its Legislative Achievement Award will be presented at the Virtual Summit’s conclusion. The Legislative Achievement Award recognizes policy leaders who are making a positive difference for Nebraskans through the legislative process.
